Clove

Clove tree is native to Malaku islands of Indonesia but grown in Sri Lanka for many centuries. Cloves are widely used ingredient in ayurvedic medicine. It was used in oral health from ancient times. The sweet, spicy, and aromatic unopened flower buds of this evergreen tree gives a taste which cannot be duplicated. Whole Sri Lankan cloves are prized for being higher in essential oils than other varieties.
